Korfball Club 2011

kwiek_logo
Korfball is a fast, dynamic sport. Two mixed teams compete against each other to score goals in a basket at opposing ends of the court.

Players cannot run with the ball, contact each other or dribble the ball. They must get free from their personal defender in order to shoot the ball because their defender is actively trying to defend their shot.
The principles are similar to those of netball and basketball but the unique defending and mixed team rules make for a much more varied game at a much faster pace.

Kwiek have competed at the highest Senior and Junior level in England, providing players for the National and County teams and have an enviable reputation of winning at least one competition per year since their formation in 1976.
The Club have qualified and experienced coaches for all standards of play from new starters to National level.
